Report a Lost/Stolen Card

During normal business hours, please contact RMECU at (262) 637-7274 or 1 (866) 763-2848. After hours, please follow the instructions below.

Mastercard Debit Card

  1. Call SHAZAM (fraud management service) at 1-800-383-8000. Available 24/7.
  2. They will place a block on your card to stop further transactions.
  3. SHAZAM will review recent transactions and help file any disputes.
  4. Afterward, contact RMECU at (262) 637-7274 or 1 (866) 763-2848 to request a replacement card.

VISA Credit Card

  1. Call FIS (VISA processor) at 1-800-325-3678.
  2. They will block your card and stop any further transactions.
  3. FIS will review recent activity and assist with disputes.
  4. A replacement VISA Credit Card will arrive within 7–10 business days.

Important Information

We will never contact you through an automated call, text, or email asking for account or personal information. Always verify suspicious messages directly with RMECU.

  • Online Banking will only ask for your member number, password, and security answers — never Social Security Numbers or full account details.
  • Create a username instead of using your member number for added security.

  • Get your free annual credit report at annualcreditreport.com.
  • Check your credit report more often if possible.
  • Ensure your debit and credit cards have enhanced online security features.
  • Use caution when buying or selling online — fraud is common on open marketplaces.
  • Beware of work-from-home, sweepstakes, lottery, and inheritance scams.
  • Be cautious when sharing personal details on social media or via phone/email.
  • Never share your PIN or carry your Social Security card in your wallet.
  • Balance your accounts monthly and monitor mailed statement delivery dates.
  • Sign up for free E-Statements and E-Notices for secure access.
  • Keep your contact information current with all financial institutions.
  • Use Online Banking and Bill Pay to control and protect your transactions.
